ORIENTA® is the first complex hybrid Paulownia to be aimed at the American horticultural market, rather than for forestry use ( 2022). In the eastern states, P. tomentosa is increasingly notorious as an invasive weed, and its sale is illegal in Connecticut; sterile hybrids with similar floral characteristics are likely to replace the species for ornamental use.
