Editorial Note

The monotypic genus Paraserianthes was covered neither by Bean’s Trees and Shrubs Hardy in the British Isles nor by New Trees. Three species formerly included in it have been moved to the segregate genus Falcataria (Barneby & Grimes 1996) on the basis of their different inflorescence structure. The single species remaining, Paraserianthes lophantha, is cultivated in our study area. Brief text is supplied under the species, pending a full account of the genus to be provided when funds are available.
