This Mexican species is figured in Bot. Mag., n.s., t.802, from a plant grown at Kew in a cool greenhouse, raised from seeds collected by the late Lord Talbot de Malahide and D. Clarke in 1965 in the mountains north of Ixtlan de Juarez. It is of doubtful hardiness in Britain outside the mildest parts.
