Brunnichia

A genus of a single species, native of N. America and allied to Polygonum. A West African species formerly included in Brunnichia is now separated as a distinct genus – Afrobrunnichia. The name commemorates M. T. Brunnich, a Scandinavian eighteenth-century naturalist.
