Editorial Note

Stapf described Botryostege as a monospecific genus in 1934, but the sole species, B. bracteata, has long been included in Elliottia as E. bracteata. We have placed Bean’s text under its correct modern name, with appropriate synonymy, pending a full revision of this group of plants.
